Biography

From August 2003 to March 2009, Beate Hartinger-Klein was Deputy Director General and, from 2005, Deputy Director General of the Management and Association Management of the Federation of Austrian Social Security Institutions. Her field of activity included the contractual relationships of social security with physicians, pharmacies, drug manufacturers, international affairs and social security contracts, service law, education and self-government. On April 1, 2009, she moved to Deloitte Austria, where she worked as Managing Director in the area of Healthcare Consulting.

From April 2011 to December 2017 she was self-employed until she was appointed Federal Minister in January 2018.
