Dinner at Heuriger Mayer am Pfarrplatz

Immersed in tradition, the renowned winery "Mayer am Pfarrplatz" stands as the quintessence of Vienna's Heuriger culture, crafting exceptional Viennese wines since 1683 in Heiligenstadt. In 1817, Ludwig van Beethoven resided in the enchanting listed suburban residence on Pfarrplatz. It was during this time in Heiligenstadt that he labored on his magnum opus: Symphony No. 9.

Today, his former abode, with access to the first floor via a charming terrace staircase, pays tribute to his legacy. Viennese Heuriger culture brings an infectious spirit of vivacity and indulgence to the forefront. A lavish spread of both hot and cold dishes, showcasing seasonal homemade delights, presents the essence of Viennese culinary excellence. It is a space where one can unwind and savor a splendid glass of wine.

Culinary Delights

Handcrafted spreads and delectable sweets, coupled with time-honored Heuriger fare passed down through generations, intermingle with fresh seasonal delicacies. Specialties like Mayer's asparagus cordon bleu and organic beef onion roast grace our menu, delighting our guests and earning "Mayer am Pfarrplatz" Heuriger the prestigious AMA gastronomic accreditation.

As a distinguished AMA-accredited gastronomic establishment, we place paramount importance on the provenance of our offerings. We maintain close partnerships with artisanal suppliers and dedicated farmers, known for their unwavering commitment to exceptional quality, ensuring we present you with exceptional delicacies.

All of our wines emanate from the cellars of our esteemed wineries, "Roten Haus" and "Mayer am Pfarrplatz." Mayer has been pressing the finest grape varieties from Vienna's most esteemed terroirs, including the Nussberg and the Alsegg vineyard, since 1683. While our "Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC" holds its own reputation, our Rieslings ("Weißer Marmor") and an array of other varietals are equally celebrated. For additional details, please explore our winery websites at Mayer am Pfarrplatz and Rotes Haus.
