Mr. Alexis Rinckenbach is Head of the European and International Affairs Unit of the Social Cohesion General Directorate in the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Women’s Rights of France, and has been working with international issues in different ministries, in France and in Asia, over the last 20 years.

His areas of expertise are policy-making and inter-governmental cooperation in the fields of social protection, ageing and human rights, gender equality and anti-discrimination.

Alexis Rinckenbach is a former Vice-chair of the EU Social Protection Committee (Brussels) and the current Vice-Chairperson of the Advisory Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men near the European Commission.

He is a French representative to the UN Open ended working group on ageing (OEWGA) and a Bureau member of the UNECE Working Group on Ageing.
